Children's Miracle Network, RE/MAX Access, and Matt Stigliano

Giving back to the community.

You’ve probably seen the red and orange paper balloons in your local convenience store and been asked to donate to the Children’s Miracle Network recently. Most charities pick up their efforts as the air turns cool and thoughts of Thanksgiving and Christmas come our way. The holidays are always a time for giving and supporting charitable efforts, but it doesn’t have to just be a holiday gift.

RE/MAX (and specifically RE/MAX Access, my office) are proud sponsors of Children’s Miracle Network. The network of RE/MAX agents all over the world are actively involved in helping local children get the best in their lives. Children’s Miracle Network focuses on giving back to communities locally through children’s hospitals. Here is San Antonio, our local hospital is Christus Santa Rosa Children’s Hospital, which serves the needs of children in a 90 county area of South Texas. As you can guess, they can always use more support.

When I joined RE/MAX Access, I made a commitment to the Children’s Miracle Network and for every transaction, I donate $25 in my client’s names. This allows a continuous donation cycle, whenever a client buys or sells a house, Christus Santa Rosa Children’s Hospital is one step closer to helping each and everyone of those kids. It’s something I’m pretty proud of. In the future, I hope to donate more and perhaps even increase my transactional donations in order to give back to my city a little more. In the meantime, with the holiday season upon us and our thoughts turning to helping others, I encourage everyone to make a donation to their favorite charity. It doesn’t have to be Children’s Miracle Network, although I’d be proud to know my readers were helping them out as well, but to give back this holiday season is truly one of the best presents you’ll ever experience.
