Give me a break...in the pool

City opens public pools.

San Antonio’s public swimming pools are open for business! Pools are open Tuesday through Sunday (closed Monday), 1PM to 7PM, from June 6 to August 9. Admission is free to the general public and the San Antonio Parks And Recreation Department offers relatively low cost classes for children, adults and seniors. Call (210) 207-3113 for more information on pools in your area or download the San Antonio Public Swimming Pool Locator Map (pdf file).

Glad to see that they reopened the swimming pools. They are really great in the summer and really bring a community together. Appreciate you sharing this information with the community.

Public swimming pools are a blessing in disguise especially when you have children that are bored in the summer. Public swimming pools may be the only access you have to a pool. They definitely provide a lot of fun and exercise for the kids.

San Antonio Pools – When I lived in Los Angeles, my wife and I didn’t have a pool so we used to go to the public pools quite a bit. Everyone loves to take a dip in a pool on a hot summer day and here in Texas, it becomes even more important when the temperature climbs up into the 100s.

I just took a look at the Sanchez Pools site – you’ve built some nice ones!

Thanks Rerockstar for the compliment. I agree with you on a hot summer day there is nothing like taking a dip in the pool to cool off. When you don’t have a pool is when the public pools are really nice. My grandchildren would fit into this category because they frequently go to the public swimming pool. If this were not available they would not get to enjoy swimming in the summer months. Anyway, thanks again.

I miss the San Pedro pool. I used to be a life guard there when I lived in the area. I have always been happy with the San Antonio’s public pools. Very clean, safe and well maintained. I can also say the same for the public pools in virginia, where I am now. I look forward to the pool opening season!
