An answer to “Where did the photos and slideshows go?”

At least now, I have the answer.
If you read the post “Where did the photos and slideshows go?” recently, you’ll know that I was having some difficulty with Flickr and getting my photos and slideshows to appear on this blog, my ActiveRain blog, and my “I saw it in San Antonio.” photo blog.
I got the answer yesterday after trying yet another support email. This one finally got through and I spoke with Emily from Flickr. Seems Flickr found me in violation of their Terms Of Service and terminated my account. Gone and deleted forever without warning. While I do agree with the reasons they terminated me, I’m not a huge fan of the way they handle it. Gone forever is my account at rerockstar-sanantonio. Gone is all the text I wrote. Gone all all the map locations I put into Flickr. Everything is gone.
So please, pardon the appearance while I straighten this out and find a new photo sharing service – one that doesn’t run by Draconian “you get no warning or even an email to tell you we did it” rules hopefully. Of course, I say that only because I’m a little bitter over my suddenly being dumped by a website I really liked (I feel like I’m in high school). It’s annoying, but because of their ways, I need to seek something else to use. When I get everything sorted back out, you’ll begin to see the slideshows and photos back in all their glory.
“A stern warning (or lack thereof) – Flickr is watching you.“
