San Antonio loves their housing market statistics. A lot of keyword searches related to specific zip codes and the market statistics find their way to this site and with so many people signing up for weekly San Antonio market reports via email, it’s easy to see why so many San Antonio residents find this site when search for real estate market data.
This question was quite specific (asking about price per square foot, so I thought I’d include it in my San Antonio Real Estate Q&A feature – if you’re looking for data for your zip code, let me know and I’ll get it out to you asap.
What is the average price per square foot in San Antonio 78259?
As you can see from the chart above, San Antonio 78259 has dipped slightly over the past six months (180 day period) as far as average price per square foot is concerned. From its high point at the beginning of the six month period (October 2009) of about $94.40 per square foot, 78259 has recovered most of its losses during late 2009 through early 2010, to find itself back at just below $94 per square foot. Inventory remains high in San Antonio 78259 so I don’t expect the price per square foot to climb too much any time soon. Until that inventory is cleared out, we will remain in a buyer’s market and if anything, price per square foot in 78259 will decrease.
