Medallion Homes Bids Farewell To San Antonio
And we bid farewell to them…
Amidst the struggles of being a builder in today’s market, Medallion Homes has decided to pull out of San Antonio. In it’s efforts to downsize, Medallion Homes has laid off its sales staff, handed their inventory listings over to Coldwell Banker D’Ann Harper as their representative, and begun selling off their vacant lots. Signs for Gehan Homes have already begun to spring up at some of the former Medallion Homes lots in The Hills At Alamo Ranch.
I’ll be sad to see them go. It’s sad to see a builder pull out of a community, especially when they built great-looking homes. What I liked about Medallion Homes was their custom look at production builder prices. Medallion made a house feel more like home with some of their added touches and I can always praise someone for that. In this world of cookie cutter communities, a few small touches can go a long way from differentiating one house from the next. I wish Will Worth and his company the best and hope to see them return to San Antonio someday when, in his words, “the homebuilding environment has sufficiently improved to enable us to operate as we have operated in the past.“
