Winter Weather Blast in San Antonio?

By rerockstar • February 22nd, 2010

It’s Not Entirely Impossible.

We in San Antonio are used to the sweltering heat of summer and the occasional cool downs in winter. Yes, our weather sometimes gets pretty cold. Usually it’s only during the evening; we wake up to freezing temperatures and by the afternoon it’s 50-60 degrees and we’re laughing at our friends in other parts of the country. This winter has seen it’s share of cold days though and according to the forecast, we may be looking at some more.

Despite one of the most beautiful weekends in San Antonio’s recent memory, my friends at KSAT are predicting a big change tomorrow (Tuesday, February 23, 2010) – one that will have cold and rain…and possibly sleet, ice, and snow. Brrrr. I’m hoping they’re just playing an early April Fool’s joke on me, but I doubt it. Looks like the Winter Weather Blast is coming to San Antonio.

I was one of the lucky few to live in a tropical climate for some years. Interesting, I could not wait to feel the cold on my ears and run through the snow. The grass is always greener elsewhere!
