I completely agree. I was a home builder and remodeler for years and most of the building inspectors became friends of mine. So much for impartiality. They would do a brisk walk-through of my project, and off they would go. They looked at some stuff, but nothing like a home inspector that takes 3-4 HOURS inspecting a home.
Get a new home inspection and protect your largest asset.
