I’m Shocked at the Things I See: Dan Branch and Lightbulbs

Why do I look at the internet? It only kills my soul.

I’m an avid reader of everything and anything. I spend a lot of time on the internet, both for my job and for my own pleasure. In doing so, I read a lot of things that I don’t agree with and sometimes it does my head in. I try to avoid talking politics with people as much as I can, particularly here in Texas, as I’m a bit more liberal minded than most of my fellow residents. Although I find myself leaning more left than them, I don’t let that bother me too much – differing opinions make the world go ’round. However, last night I was on Facebook and saw a supported ad in the sidebar that revolved around all the recent Duck Dynasty hullabaloo. I’ve been reading a lot on the story, mostly with my jaw on the floor at some of the comments I’ve been reading. Anyway, something compelled me to click the link which took me to the Facebook page for Dan Branch. I had never heard of Dan, but apparently he wants to be the Attorney General of Texas. He won’t be getting my vote, but that’s neither here nor there. What got me was the following post.

Dan Branch - Lightbulb Stockpile

The comments are worth a read, including the use of the phrase “mulato [sic] king.” What the fuck, man? The world is doomed. It really is.
